Hopefully we will manage a concert in November, but in case we do have to wait a little longer to get together for rehearsals, fear not.  At a recent meeting, the Music Committee agreed that if we can’t perform Dvorak's Requiem in November, then we’ll do it in Spring 2021. So for those of you who have bought the score (details below) or CDs and are busy practising – carry on the good work, it will not be in vain.

and for suggestions of recordings to listen to, Peter Newble has sent the following:

"My own preference would be Neeme Jarvi's (in 2009) with the LPO on their own label (LPO-0042), but I'm biased because I was the producer!  That recording is not currently available on CD but may be downloaded for between £7.48 and £9.99, depending on the retailer.  It hasn't been recorded anything like as often as most of Dvorak's works, but there are a few others, some (especially the older ones) available in various different compilations, and some looking more promising than others."
