On Saturday 7th October, Hadleigh Choral Society hosted its first ‘soirée’ - a musical evening of home-grown talent accompanied by food and drink - to raise funds for the society.
We enjoyed pieces ranging from 'The Hippopotamus Song' by Flanders and Swann to 'Soave sia il vento' from Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Other highlights were The Barber Shop Quartet and the Copt Choir, singing an arrangement by HSC’s Musical Director, Chris Phelps, of 'Fly me to the moon’.
The evening was a huge success, and raised an incredible £800 for the society.
Watch out for another soirée in 2024!
