We stage two major concerts a year with full orchestra and professional soloists in St Mary's Church, Hadleigh, along with a summer programme of lighter music and a celebration of Christmas, usually in aid of local charities.
On Saturday 20th November, after 2 years of silence, the Choir returned to a full house at St Mary's - and what an evening it was. The programme included Schubert's Mass in G and Vivaldi's Gloria. The Choir was in great voice and thrilled to be back after so many failed attempts over the last few months. The audience was also treated to three vocal ensembles from Mozart operas featuring our wonderful professional soloists. We're now looking forward to our next concert in April 2022 when we will be singing the programme originally planned for Spring 2020. For more information, go to: Forthcoming concerts
In the meantime, we have our Celebration of Christmas at St Mary's Church on Saturday 11th December at 6.30pm followed by mulled wine and mince pies. Free entry with retiring collection to Alzheimer's Research UK.
In November 2019, we staged a performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah with soloists, Elinor Rolfe Johnson (soprano), Sian Cameron (mezzo soprano), Huw Ynyr (tenor), Owain Browne (bass) and William Russell (treble) to an audience of over 250.
